Chicago Attorney Christopher T. Hurley Elected to Board of Governors of State Bar

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Christopher T. Hurley, a principal in the Chicago law firm of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
 
The 25-member Board directs the activities of the state’s largest bar association with 33,000 members.
 
Hurley, who concentrates his law practice in trial and appellate work, is a past president of the Alumni Board of Governors of Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. He is active in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, currently serving on its executive committee, and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
 
Hurley is a frequent presenter at classes and seminars attended by lawyers and has written several articles related to his practice areas.
 
A resident of Winnetka, Hurley received his law degree in 1984 from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Colgate University, in Hamilton, N.Y., in 1981.
