Bar diversity, mortgage issues on cable series
Cook County Associate Judge Cheryl D. Cesario, a member of the ISBA Assembly, is the moderator for two state bar cable televisions programs this month. They are broadcast at 10 p.m. Tuesdays on Chicago Access Network channel 21.
The panel for "Achieving Diversity in the Legal Profession: What the ISBA Is Doing Today About Tomorrow," which may be seen Feb. 19, includes ISBA President Joseph G. Bisceglia of Chicago (see photo on page 1).
Other speakers are Dean John E. Corkery of The John Marshall Law School, a member of the Committee on Professional Conduct, and Francine Soliunas, assistant dean of the Chicago-Kent College of Law for student professional development.
The second program, "How to Keep Your Home: Avoiding Mortgage Foreclosure," to be broadcast Feb. 26, features Cook County Judge Lewis M. Nixon of the Chancery Division Mechanics Lien Section.
Other panelists are Julia Jensen Smolka of DiMonte & Lizak, Park Ridge, a member of the Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Law Section Council, and Daniel P. Lindsay of the Home Ownership Preservation Project of the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago.
