ISBA sending MCLE credit reports to membersMidterm MCLE participation statements are being sent by mail or e-mail to lawyers who have attended ISBA Law Ed programs, or otherwise earned credits through the ISBA. If you did not receive one but believe you have ISBA credits, send an e-mail inquiry to mailto:credit-tracking@isba.org. The MCLE statements cover the period Jan. 1, 2006–Dec. 31, 2007. Another statement will be sent before June 30, the first reporting deadline for half of the lawyers in Illinois. Twenty hours of credit are required in the first reporting period, of which a minimum of four hours must be in the areas of professionalism, diversity, mental illness and addiction, civility or legal ethics. Up to 10 MCLE credits earned between Jan. 1, 2006, and the beginning of an attorney's reporting period can be carried into the first two year reporting period, except professional responsibility credits. The first reporting period for lawyers whose last names begin with the letters A-M is July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2008, and for lawyers whose last names begin with N-Z, the reporting period is July 1, 2007, to June 30, 2009.
