Member Marks gain momentum

The ISBA Member Mark is beginning to show up on lawyers' letterheads, business cards and Web pages, and even on office doors and building signs.

Since its unveiling in December, Member Mark license agreements have been approved for 225 ISBA members or law firms in which all lawyers belong to ISBA. Two marks are available – one denoting a "member," the other a "member firm."

For information and to download the license agreement, ISBA members can visit http://www.isba.org/membermark. The March Bar News will include a listing of all Member Mark users. To be included, members need to have their license agreements approved by March 1.

The Member Mark was developed to enable active ISBA members to benefit directly from the state bar association's ongoing marketing campaign that features the image of Abraham Lincoln and reminds the public that Illinois has "a history of pretty good lawyers."

As a member benefit, the Member Mark can be used in several forms of public communications and advertising. ISBA marketing messages also pose the question: "Is your lawyer a member of the Illinois State Bar Association?" Use of the Member Mark helps answer that question.
