President-elect planning travel to Salzburg, Alps

Details have been announced for ISBA President-elect Jack C. Carey’s fall presidential travel program “Spectacular Swiss Alps and Salzburg,” from Sept. 6 to 14.

• Saturday, Sept. 6 – Overseas flight from Chicago or St. Louis.
• Sunday, Sept. 7 – Arrive in Munich, Germany, and transfer to hotel accommodations in Salzburg, Austria.
• Monday, Sept. 8 – Optional tour of Mozart’s city, home and music.
• Tuesday, Sept. 9 – Optional tour of historical Berchtesgaden.
• Wednesday, Sept. 10 – Scenic transfer to Davos, Switzerland, via Innsbruck, Austria.
• Thursday, Sept. 11 – Optional tour of Lucerne city.
• Friday, Sept. 12 – Day of leisure in Davos.
• Saturday, Sept. 13 – Optional glacier express tour to St. Moritz.
• Sunday, Sept. 14 – Return flight from Zurich.

Prices for the land program at $1,549 per person, double or triple occupancy, include first-class hotels in Salzburg and Davos, president’s welcoming reception, daily continental breakfast, scenic transfers, experienced guides, and farewell dinner.

Airfare, if included with land program, is $1,299 per person, including all fuel surcharges, taxes and security fees in effect as of Dec. 1, 2007.

Croatia and Venetian Treasures ($1,299 land, plus airfare $1,299 based on Dec. 1, 2007, status) – Nine days and seven nights; Sept. 11 to 19, and Sept. 25 to Oct. 3.

Dubai ($1,999  land, plus airfare $1,499 based on Dec. 1m 2007, status – Nine days and six nights; Sept. 19-27.

Enchanting Ireland, Killarney and Kilkenny ($1,999) - Nine days and seven nights in September-October.

Dynamic Beijing, China ($1,199 land, plus airfare $1,099 based on Dec. 1, 2007, status) – Eight days and six nights; Nov. 5 to 12, and Nov. 12 to 18.

Remaining spring tours

Treasures of China and the Yangtze River Cruise (from $3,299 including airfare) – May 22-June 3.

Ireland, the Best of Dublin and Belfast ($2,249) – Nine days and seven nights in May.

Sailing Around Italy, aboard The Balmoral, from Rome to Venice (via Tunis, Valletta, Corfu, Brindisi and Dubrovnik) - May 31 to June 11. From $2,999 to $4,699 per person, double occupancy, with airfare additional at $1,199 from Chicago and $1,299 from St. Louis.
