ConCon panel focus is education

The third in a series of informative breakfast forums in on the question, “Should Illinois Citizens Call a Constitutional Convention?” will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Union League Club of Chicago.

Panelists will discuss Education Funding and Reform Issues in the free program conducted by the ULCC Public Affairs Committee and the Civic Federation. Call (312) 435-5946 for reservations.

The issues involved in calling a Con-stitutional Convention in 2010 will be discussed by the ISBA Assembly during its June 28 meeting in St. Louis. The question will appear on the general election ballot on Nov. 4.

ISBA section councils and committees are making recommendations in support of or opposition to the state bar association taking a position.
