Lindner will receive a Champion of Justice Award for her leadership in sponsoring the Illinois Equal Justice Act that created the process of allocating state funds for legal assistance to eligible clients.

Senate Bill 3028 proposes increasing the appropriation from $3.5 million to $5 million. The funds are administered by Attorney General Lisa Madigan.
