CVLS 5K race funds pro bonoThe Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation will conduct its annual benefit Race Judicata Sprint for Justice on Thursday, Aug. 14, on Lower Hutchinson Field at Columbus Drive and Balbo Drive. Last year, Race Judicata raised $175,000 toward coordinating pro bono legal services for working poor in a network of neighborhood facilities Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the 5K run and walk includes competition for teams, and men and women in several age categories. Baseball game scheduledA benefit for the DuPage Legal Aid Foundation will take place Friday, July 11, at Elfstrom Stadium in Geneva, where the Kane County Cougars will play the Peoria Chiefs, a Chicago Cubs farm team managed by Ryne Sandberg.
