Decalogue slates Schleifer, honors ISBA facilitator

ISBA Assembly member Andrea M. Schleifer will be installed as president of the Decalogue Society during its annual dinner Monday, June 23, at the Spertus Center, 610 S. Michigan, Chicago.

Other incoming officers are Vice Presidents Barry S. Goldberg and Susan K. Horn; Secretaries Terrie A. Rymer and Yehuda P. Lebovits, and Treasurer Joshua S. Kreitzer. Judge Jamie A. Shapiro is retiring president.

ISBA staff member Joyce Williams, coordinator of the Alliance of Bar Associations for Judicial Screening, will receive an Outstanding Community Service Award.

Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to dean emerita Nina S. Appel of the Loyola University School of Law, retired state senator Arthur L. Berman, and Judges Moshe Jacobius, Carole Kamin Bellows and Rhoda Davis Sweeney.

A Hebrew University Fellowship Award will be made for Gerald S. Schur, and Appellate Justice Robert E. Gordon will receive a President’s Award. The Ark will be given agency recognition.
