YLD Children’s Fund benefits scheduled July 22, Sept. 20
The ISBA Young Lawyers Division has scheduled a second summer event to raise money for its Children’s Assistance Fund, which is administered by the Illinois Bar Foundation.
Following the fourth annual golf classic on Tuesday, July 22, at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park, is a Day at the Races on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Arlington Park Racecourse.
The golf outing on July 22 will be preceded by a one-hour accredited ISBA Law Ed seminar, “Keep It Straight and Narrow: Answers to the Top 10 Questions Submitted to the ARDC.” The speaker is Mary F. Andreoni, administrative counsel for the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
Her presentation at 11 a.m. will be followed by luncheon and the 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. A reception, silent auction and dinner will follow. The package cost of the event is $150. Dinner only is $50. The seminar is free to registered golfers, but is also available to non-golfers for $50.

The Day at the Races event on Sept. 20 will take place from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on the racetrack’s Miller Party Deck. Food will be available from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., with refreshments continuing until 3:30 p.m.

Arlington Park enforces a strict dress code of business casual attire. No shorts, jeans, T-shirts or athletic shoes are permitted.
Looking ahead, the annual YLD holiday party is scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at Joe’s Bar on Weed Street, Chicago. Proceeds benefit the Children’s Assistance Fund.
