District Court to amend rule

The U.S. District Court for the Central District has proposed an amendment to Local Rule 83.7 to clarify that attorneys should not allow other persons to use electronic devices while in the courthouse.

The full text of the proposed revision is available in district court clerk's offices in Peoria, Urbana, Springfield and Rock Island, and may be accessed on the court's Web site, http://www.ilcd.uscourts.gov.

The court will accept written comments on the proposed revision directed to Pamela E. Robinson, Clerk of U.S. District Court, 600 E. Monroe, Springfield, IL 62701, through Saturday, Aug. 30.
