Diversity to be Sept. 9 theme of Peoria Bar

Joanne K. Glasser, president of Bradley University and an attorney, will be the keynote speaker for the fifth annual Peoria County Bar Association Diversity Luncheon at 12 noon Tuesday, Sept. 9.

A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law who was introduced to the Peoria County Bar in February during the Lincoln Memorial Banquet, will address members and guests in the Marquette Ballroom of the Hotel Pere Marquette.

Reservations at $25 per person may be made by calling (309) 674-6049. Proceeds provide scholarships for minority law students that will be presented at the event.

The association's Diversity Committee is chaired by Michele A. Miller of Westervelt, Johnson, Nicoll & Keller. Members include ISBA past president Timothy L. Bertschy and Sonni Choi Williams, member of the ISBA Assembly and vice chair of the Committee on Minority and Women Participation.
