Golf outing honors attorney

Colleagues and friends of former assistant U.S. attorney Mitchell A. Mars, who died Feb. 19 of cancer, will hold a benefit golf outing, dinner and silent auction on Monday, Sept. 22, at the Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont.

Proceeds will allow the Mitchell Mars Foundation to endow an Evans Scholarship in his memory for a male or female caddy to attend college. Call Thomas C. Moriarty, (312) 969-0201, for details.
