Judicial ethics forum planned

The American Judicature Society will conduct its 21st National College on Judicial Conduct and Ethics next month in Chicago.

The conference is scheduled from Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 29, through Friday, Oct. 31, at the Embassy Suites Downtown Lakefront, 511 N. Columbus Drive. Access www.ajs.org/ethics for complete details.

The forum for members and staffs of judicial conduct commissions, judges and judicial educators includes discussions on professional standards for the judiciary and current judicial discipline issues.

Topics include revisions to the American Bar Association Model Code of Judicial Conduct, public comments by judges, use of the prestige of judicial office, and conduct of election campaigns.
