NABE honors ISBA project

The Illinois State Bar Association publication, “Legal Health Checkup,” which was inserted in newspapers throughout the state, has received a Luminary Award for Excellence in Communications from the National Association of Bar Executives.

The 12-page publication, contains brief articles on consumer legal issues, and directs readers to the Web site, www.isbaLawyers.com, for referral services.

The award was presented Oct. 28 in Austin, Tex., during an NABE Communications Section workshop. Judges praised “Legal Health Checkup” as “a good public service effort” with “great concept and execution” that made it “very easy to read.”

The publication is part of the ISBA’s extensive image campaign that has been implemented in the past two years by the Committee on Strategic Marketing for Illinois Lawyers and outside advertising counsel David Wojdyla.

A Luminary Award also was presented to the Kane County Bar Association for its electronic E-Briefs.
