Law Enforcement Awards nominations due Feb. 12

Nominations for ISBA Law Enforcement Awards will be accepted by the Committee on Public Relations through Thursday, Feb. 12.

This award provides an opportunity for ISBA members, bar associations and law-related organizations to recognize officers who share the profession’s goal of serving the public and ensuring justice through fair and impartial enforcement.

The award promotes respect for the rule of law and fosters cooperation among members of the law enforcement and legal communities.

Eligible candidates are sworn officers employed full-time by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Criteria include individual conduct that in a substantial way facilities better understanding of the criminal justice system, encourages respect for the law, or promotes justice through community service and programs.

A list of previous Law Enforcement Award recipients may be accessed at www.isba.org/newscenter/.

Nominations must be submitted in writing. To obtain a nomination form and other information, call David N. Anderson at the Illinois Bar Center, (800) 252-8908.
