Don’t miss Jack Carey’s travel to Paris in April

There’s still time to sign up for “April in Paris,” the exciting travel opportunity being planned by ISBA President Jack C. Carey. More than 35 members and guests have already registered for the visit to one of the most romantic cities in the world.

The trip is scheduled from Saturday, April 18, to Sunday, April 26. Brochures are available in ISBA offices. Call GoNext, the ISBA-affiliated travel coordinator, at (800) 842-9023 for reservations or more information.

During seven days and nights at the Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel, there will be ample time for exploring Paris at leisure or taking any of the optional excursions.

The tour price of $2,099 per person, double occupancy, for the land program only, includes hotel accommodations, daily breakfast, a welcoming reception and the farewell dinner. Airfare is additional.

The day-to-day itinerary below follows the overnight flight on April 18.

Sunday, April 19 – Arrival in Paris and transfer to hotel for president’s reception.

Monday, April 20 – Panoramic morning ride through the city, with stops at historic sites. Free afternoon, followed by optional dinner and show at Moulin Rouge.

Tuesday, April 21 – Optional trip through Loire Valley chateaux country aboard a high-speed train.

Wednesday, April 22 – Optional excursion to the palace of Versailles.

Thursday, April 23 – Optional trip to Normandy’s D-Day beaches and American cemetery.

Friday, April 24 – Optional visit to the top of the Eiffel Tower, followed by Seine River cruise.

Saturday, April 25 – Optional walks through the Louvre art museum and the cathedral of Notre Dame. A farewell dinner with President Carey and fellow travelers concludes the week-long program.

Sunday, April 26 – Return flight, arriving home the same day.
