YLD benefit has bean bag competition

If 300 participants have registered by Friday, Feb. 20, for the ISBA Young Lawyers Division benefit Bean Bag Tournament, they will enjoy the facilities of Durkin’s Pub in Chicago exclusively for themselves.

Scheduled from 12 noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Durkin’s, 810 W. Diversey, the tournament is one of two benefits this year for the YLD/Illinois Bar Foundation Children’s Assistance Fund.

The entry fee of $100 for a two-member team covers the competition and four hours of pizza and refreshments. Individuals may attend for $30 per person.

Next on the YLD benefit agenda is a black-tie-optional Summer Soiree from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, in Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington.

A reception, silent auction, dinner and dancing to the music of the Monarch Orchestra are included.
