CVLS benefit Race Judicata slated July 30

Spring is here after an unfriendly winter, and the weather is more conducive to getting in shape for the annual Race Judicata of the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation.

The chip-timed 5K run/walk will be held Thursday, July 30, along the lakefront, emanating from Lower Hutchinson Field at Columbus and Balbo Drives. Runners will start at 6:30 p.m., and walkers at 6:45 p.m. A party and awards will conclude the competition.

The Chicago Bar Foundation Young Professionals Board and CBA Young Lawyers Section will sponsor a pro bono benefit Casino Legale from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday, April 24, in Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center.

The Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity will conduct an inaugural charity bowling tournament from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Fox Bowl in Wheaton. The co-sponsor is DuPage Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS).
