Joint Vanguard lunch April 22

Five bar associations will recognize attorneys during the annual Vanguard Awards luncheon on Wednesday, April 22, in the Grand Ballroom of the Standard Club of Chicago.

The awards honor individuals and institutions for significant efforts to make the law and profession become more accessible and reflect diversity of the community. The honorees are:

Asian American Bar Association – Aurora Abella-Austriaco, a member of the ISBA Real Estate Law Section Council.

Chicago Bar Association – William F. Conlon of Sidley Austin.

Cook County Bar Association – retired judge Anthony L. Young.

Lesbian and Gay Bar Association – Richard J. Garcia and Arthur E. Johnston.

Hispanic Lawyers Association – Associate Judge Jesse G. Reyes, a past president of the Illinois Judges Association.

Puerto Rican Bar Association – Charles P. Romaker.
