Memorial slated for Judge Wood
Federal judge Harlington Wood Jr. of Petersburg, who died Dec. 29 at age 88, will be memorialized by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit on Wednesday, May 13.
In special session, the court will pay tribute to Wood’s 32 years on the appeals court and three prior years on the U.S. District Court. Chief Judge Frank H. Easterbrook will preside.
The program will take place at 2 p.m. in the James Benton Parsons Memorial Courtroom at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse in Chicago.
