Summer Soiree on June 5 is next YLD fund-raiser

The ISBA Young Lawyers Division has raised more than $125,000 in the past decade in support of supervised children’s courthouse waiting rooms (see photo at right). YLD members also have collected countless toys and books for these rooms.

ISBA President Jack C. Carey will be guest of honor at the next fund-raiser for this purpose. It will be a Summer Soiree from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, in Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center.

The black-tie-optional benefit for the YLD/Illinois Bar Foundation Children’s Assistance Fund includes a reception, buffet stations, silent auction and dancing to the music of the Monarch Orchestra.

Reservations are $125 per person, and several levels of preferred table seating and sponsorship opportunities are available. Advertising will be accepted in the program book.

Future fund-raising events include a golf outing in the summer and a holiday party in December, in addition to special events such as the recent Bean Bag Tournament.
