Foundation helps lawyers too

Non-taxable monthly subsistence stipends are offered by the Illinois Bar Foundation to help eligible lawyers maintain modest but reasonable standards of living when incapacitating illnesses or disabilities occur.

Subsistence also is available to older lawyers, or surviving spouses, who could not benefit from retirement plans or deferred taxation for income for later life.
