YLD will honor ISBA president at June Soiree

ISBA President Jack C. Carey will be the guest of honor at the Young Lawyers Division’s benefit Summer Soiree from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, in Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center.

The black-tie-optional benefit for the YLD/Illinois Bar Foundation Children’s Assistance Fund includes a reception, buffet stations, silent auction and dancing to the music of the Monarch Orchestra.

Reservations are $125 per person, and several levels of preferred table seating and sponsorship opportunities are available.

The ISBA Young Lawyers Division has raised more than $125,000 to support and furnish supervised children’s courthouse waiting rooms. YLD members have collected countless toys and books for these rooms.

The annual Young Lawyers Division benefit golf classic is scheduled Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. Details will follow.

Other fund-raising events for the Children’s Assistance Fund include a holiday party in December.
