Niro, Robinson are founders of ethics consulting firm

Two icons of civility and tranquility in the practice and promise of law, Mary T. Robinson and Cheryl I. Niro, have formed a firm that focuses on helping lawyers adjust to a changing legal landscape.

RobinsonNiro PC is the creation of Robinson, who was administrator of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission for 15 years, and Niro, an ISBA past president who was inaugural executive director of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.

Both have had extensive experience in the practice of law in addition to their ground-breaking involvement in public initiatives to raise the image and competence of the bar.

They developed the concept of a professional consulting entity to work with lawyers and law firms to enhance professionalism, satisfaction and success in positioning to succeed in what they perceive is a new world of practice opportunities.

RobinsonNiro will develop new models for relationships with clients, encourage rethinking of the values that lawyers bring to the table, and recognize ways that lawyering advances or deters personal health and satisfaction.

Fee relationships are vital, while billing concepts that insult clients are out of sync with technological reality and need to be revamped.

The firm’s programs will provide CLE professionalism credits, as law firm management and members receive coaching in innovative approaches to client satisfaction.

RobinsonNiro is located in suite 205 at 60 W. Randolph, Chicago 60601, telephone (312) 752-5393. For more information, e-mail cheryl.niro@mac.com.
