Bean baggers to ply skills

The skills of tossing bean bags will be demonstrated during an ISBA Young Lawyers Division benefit for the Children’s Assistance Program on Saturday, May 3.
The Bean Bag Tournament is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. at Durkin’s, a “friendly neighborhood Irish pub” at 810 W. Diversey Parkway on Chicago’s North Side.
Participants of all ages are invited to attend, whether or not as bean bag competitors. Durkin’s has 40 strategically located television screens for watching other sporting events.
The cost to support this effort to raise funds for children’s courthouse waiting rooms around the state is $30 per person for a wristband, plus a $40 entry fee for each two-person team (total $100).
Individuals wearing wristbands may partake of pizza and a variety of liquid refreshments during the three-hour event.
Checks should be made out to IBF/YLD Children’s Assistance Fund and mailed with participants’ names to Janet Sosin at the Illinois State Bar Association, Suite 900, 20 S. Clark St., Chicago 60603. Credit card payments may be faxed to (312) 726-9071.
Registration also may be done online at http://www.isba.org/sections/yld.
