Court slates ADR seminars

A schedule of topics for the next three months of free brown-bag luncheon seminars on court-annexed mediation has been announced by the Cook County Circuit Court Law and Chancery Divisions.

Co-sponsored by the ISBA Alternative Dispute Resolution Section, the monthly programs for judges, lawyers and mediators take place in courtroom 2005 of the Richard J. Daley Center from 12 noon to 1:45 p.m. on Thursdays.

April 10 – “Corporate Perspectives on Mediation,” with Margaret B. Jones, vice president and associate general counsel of Hyatt Hotels; Rick Quist, associate general counsel in AT&T’s Litigation Practice Group, and Mark V. Puccio, vice president and director of litigation management for Zurich North America.

The moderator is Dale E. Kleber of Accord ADR Services, former vice president and general counsel of Dean Foods.

May 8 – “Fishbowl Mediation of a Commercial Case,” with John Cooley, James Sullivan and others.

June 12 – “Strategic Mediation Advocacy: Creating Competitive Advantage for Your Client and Your Firm,” with Diane Neuhauser, managing partner of Neuhauser, Lee, Schwartz & Associates, and Steven L. Schwartz, managing principal of ADR Soultions.
