Public Access forum includes state officials

A luncheon program on “Public Access to Government Information” will be conducted from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in Wheaton with input from two assistant Illinois attorneys general.

The DuPage County Bar Association Local Government Committee is sponsor of the event, which will take place in the Attorney Resource Center of the 18th Circuit Judicial Center.

Terry L. Mutchler, the attorney general’s public access counselor, and Michel J. Luke, chief of the Public Access and Opinions Division, will discuss “Public Access to Information, the Illinois Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act,” including recent amendments, case law and practical application scenarios.
