'Smooth Career Transition' seminars set next month"The Boomer-Lawyer's Guide to a Smooth Career Transition," a series of ISBA Law Ed seminars for attorneys of age 55 or older or in practice 25 years or more, will be presented next month by the Senior Lawyers Section. They are scheduled from 12:25 to 5:30 p.m. on consecutive Fridays: June 6 at the Illinois Education Association, Springfield; June 13 at the ISBA Chicago Regional Office, and June 20 at Southern Illinois University School of Law, Carbondale. Lawyers who may be approaching retirement age, but do not necessarily plan to fully retire, can taper their practices to make time for personal interests that had been sidelined. Careful planning for successful transitions is the objective of these seminars. The moderator will be ISBA past president Loren S. Golden of Elgin, who chairs the Senior Lawyers Section Council. After opening remarks by Golden, a slate of timely topics will be presented by seasoned speakers who are well-informed on issues that affect the senior lawyer. 12:30 p.m. – Rule of Professional Con-duct 1.17: Sale of a Law Practice and Transitioning Your Practice, with John H. Phipps of the Phipps Law Offices, Champaign. 1:15 p.m. – ARDC on Receiverships under Supreme Court Rule 776 and Registration Categories, with John R. Cesario of Chicago, senior counsel of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. 1:45 p.m. – Malpractice Insurance Considerations, with Loren Golden and Kurt Bounds of the ISBA Mutual Insurance Co., Chicago. 2:30 p.m. – File Retention, with John Cesario. 3 p.m. – Lawyers' Assistance Program Issues Facing Aging Lawyers and Colleagues, with Susan C. Riegler of LAP's Chicago office. 4:30 p.m. – Pro Bono Opportunities. Speakers in Springfield are Daniel M. Moore Jr. of Moore, Susler, McNutt & Wrigley, Decatur; William R.
