File Formats

PDFs: Most computers will already be able to view PDFs, but if your's can't, simply download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. You will need to install it and restart your computer.

Zip files: Windows Vista and XP and Mac OS X can open zip files without any other software. If you are using another operating system, you may need to download a utility to open a zip file.

Downloading

Different browsers handle downloads differently. Some will automatically display PDF in the browser window, some may download the file to a default location on your computer, some may do both. There are two ways to make sure you can save a file where you want it on your computer.

• Right-click (Mac users can control-click) on the link and choose where to save it, or
• If you just clicked on the link and you can see the PDF in your browser window, choose File>Save as.

Specific Downloading Instructions for Different Browsers

Windows

• Internet Explorer: Right-click on link and choose "Save Target As"
• Firefox: Right-click on link and choose "Save Link As"

Mac

If you don't have a right-click button, you can hold down the control key and click your mouse button.

• Safari: Right-click on link and choose "Download Linked File As..."
• Firefox: Right-click on link and choose "Save Link As"
