Friday, October 7

  • Kids Klub activity center; Pinehurst II; 6:00 p.m.-midnight; for children ages 3- 11 years; free amenity
  • Monster Movies; "scary" flicks shown on the big screen; Terrace Dining Area; begins at dusk
  • Zanie's Comedy Night Club; showtimes at 8:00 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.
  • S'mores ‘N' More; roast marshmallows and listen to a storyteller; bonfire pit on patio; 6:00-10:00 p.m.
  • Hayrides leave from the front lobby, travel around golf course; 6:00-10:00 p.m.
  • Live band in Lilly's Lounge; 9:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m.; no cover; 21 & over to enter

  • Ghoulish Goodies, cookie decorating and caramel apple dipping

Mario Tricoci Salon and Day Spa
This multi-million-dollar spa includes nine treatment rooms and a staff of experts. Treat yourself to a massage, facial, aromatherapy, manicure, pedicure, or even a complete makeover. You can melt away the tension in our sauna, receive a new hairstyle, or learn from tips on specialized skin care.

Golf- Special Tee Times for Conference Attendees!
The resort's 18-hole championship course has been awarded many honors. As a conference attendee you may take advantage of five blocked tee times on Saturday, Oct. 8, starting every eight minutes at between 9:04 and 9:36 am. Make reservations directly with the Resort pro shop by calling 630-584-4914. These tee times will be held until 48 hours before the day, so be sure to make you reservation before that. The golf director can also arrange for lessons, other tee times, tournaments and glow golf. The pro shop is stocked with golf equipment and clothing. Or visit the neighboring course, Prairie Landing. The links style course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. extends a special rate to Pheasant Run guests and is located just south of the DuPage Airport.

Swamp Arcade
Kids will really love the game room. It offers a wide array of great arcade games including pinball machines, racing games, and other exciting video games. Be sure to say hello to the mascot, "Croc" the crocodile. Don't worry he won't bite! Located on Bourbon Street.

The 20th Annual St. Charles Scarecrow Festival (Friday-Sunday, Oct. 7-9)

Harvest Festival (Saturday, Oct. 8)
Fox River Trolley Museum, Rt. 31, South Elgin, 847-697-4676 South Elgin Parks & Recreation joins the Fox River Trolley Museum in providing a day full of old fashioned family fun. Hay rides, trolley rides, pumpkins, food, fun and evening movies at Jon Duerr Forest Preserve await all those who come. Sonny Acres Farm
During the month of October, the celebration of harvest time spreads over a large area of Sonny Acres. Amusement rides, pony rides, hay maze, dark zone, spook shed, and hayrides run throughout the day. Attractions operate daily 10:00 a.m,-6:00 p.m. Take a journey through the Haunted Barn. Fridays, 7:00-10:00 p.m.; Saturdays & Sundays, 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Haunted Wagon rides 7:00-10:00 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets required for all rides and attractions. Pottawatomie Park
This historic park offers swimming pools, picnic areas, shelters, playgrounds, volleyball courts, with canoe and pedal boat rentals available. A nine-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., in 1939, Pottawatomie Golf Course is a regulation course along the Fox River. One of only 11 certified Audubon Sanctuary courses in Illinois. Or you can visit River View Miniature Golf, which features 18 challenging holes. Cruise the scenic Fox River on the Paddlewheel Riverboat Cruises. Trips are four miles long. Private charters are available by reservation, including lunch or dinner. See brochure for more details.

Funway Entertainment Center
The Fox Valley's largest indoor and outdoor family entertainment center. This 5 ½ acre park offers many options and fun for guests of all ages--there's so much to do! Brunswick Zone
This state of the art 24-lane bowling facility provides a fun-filled bowling atmosphere with cosmic and bumper bowling available. Visit the Galaxy World Arcade with over 200 games for all ages. Ride the circular rollercoaster, hop in the bumper cars, play billiards, or check out the laser tag arena. Located just east of the resort on Main Street in Carol Stream.

Tri-City Paintball Entertainment Center
Make your mark at Chicagoland's premier indoor paintball facility! Two indoor fields are available for walk-on games. Sessions come complete with orientation of game rules, safety, and equipment operation. www.tri-citypaintball.com

Antiquing--Over a dozen shops in downtown St. Charles offer a superb selection of antiques and collectibles. Visit Antique Markets I, II and III and the Century Corners and 3rd Street Shops where you'll discover one-of-a-kind glassware, porcelain and more.
Charlestowne Mall--Located ½ mile west of the resort, this mall features shopping, a food court, putt-putt course, play land and Classic Cinemas 18 movie theatre.
Chicago Premium Outlet Mall--Find what you're looking for at this new shopping center full of designer bargains. Over 100 name brand outlets. Only 15 minutes south on Kirk Road.
