Settlements
Three and one-half years after filing of petition for dissolution, parties reached oral settlement agreement after extensive negotiations, and presented stipulation for resolution of all issues. Agreement was read into the record, and both parties testified to their understanding of agreement, its binding effect and finality, and their desire for court approval of it. Thus, oral settlement agreement was established at hearing and cannot be cancelled by withdrawal of husband's assent prior to entry of written judgment. (DONOVAN, concurring; GOLDENHERSH, specially concurring.)
