Tort Immunity Act
Plaintiff sued Defendants, Sherriff's Department and Dispatcher, failing to provide adequate police protection by retaining his grandson in their custody, for failing to prevent him from murdering his father, and/or for releasing him from custody. Plain language of Tort Immunity Act applies to give Defendants absolute immunity, Defendants, including for willful and wanton misconduct. (WELCH and GOLDENHERSH, concurring.)
