Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Orders of Protection
Court properly granted extension of plenary order of protection based on sufficient evidence presented of harassment and stalking. Court properly used its discretion to resolve conflicts in favor of Petitioner's testimony that Respondent had contacted her through social media sites, which she could tell because his photo was associated with various user names; and in affording greater weight to her testimony than to that of "expert" who testified that it appeared that printouts of social media pages had been fabricated or altered.
