School Law
Minor fell and broke both arms while running backwards in a relay race at party for children's religious instruction program group at church. Program group has no relationship with a full-time educational institution, but was an activity held one evening per week during school year, and is not the type of entity that comes within the scope of Section 24-24 of School Code, and is thus not entitled to immunity of that Section. Program is a voluntary club more akin to a scouting organization than a school. (BURKE and HUTCHINSON, concurring.)
