Illinois Appellate Court
Civil Court
Personal Jurisdiction
(Court opinion corrected 12/27/13.) Nonresident defendants, whose ownership interest in a trust administered in Cook County were the only points of contact with Illinois, had sufficient minimum contacts with State of Illinois so that Illinois' exercise of personal jurisdiction over them, in litigation seeking to reform trust agreement, did not offend federal constitutional due process. Defendant had objected to Illinois trustee's proposed actions, and should have expected that by raising such objections he would likely be haled into court in Illinois. (McBRIDE and TAYLOR, concurring.)
