Retaliatory Discharge
Plaintiff sued Defendants for retaliatory discharge and discrimination on basis of a work-related disability. Plaintiff's charge of discrimination was untimely, as he failed to file original underlying charges with Illinois Department of Human Rights within 180 days of his termination as required by law. Plaintiff's evidence is only speculative, and failed to establish retaliatory motive as cause of termination. Thus, court properly granted summary judgment for Defendants. (ROCHFORD and HOFFMAN, concurring.)
