Joint Tortfeasor Contribution Act
Settlement in Oklahoma state court action against Plaintiff's insured. Insurer filed its initial complaint against its insured in Cook County circuit court, seeking to recover settlement proceeds that insurer had paid to settle Oklahoma suit. Claim for contribution must be brought in underlying suit, even when it commenced in jurisdiction outside of Illinois, and even if court in underlying action denies a plaintiff's attempt to file contribution claim.(CONNORS and DELORT, concurring.)
