Court properly granted summary judgment to defendant railroad on Plaintiff's claim, under Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA) to recover for a workplace injury to his knee while kneeling to perform maintenance on a GURU valve on a locomotive engine. Plaintiff's own testimony that he was injured while working on a GURU valve and that railroad could have installed the valve facing another way did not provide sufficient evidence of railroad's negligence to survive summary judgment.Evidence showed that railroad complied with manufacturer's directions in installing valves. Plaintiff provided no evidence that railroad negligently breached its obligation to provide a reasonably safe workplace or that its negligence played any part in his injury. (McBRIDE and REYES, concurring.)
