Court affirmed decision of Board of Fire and Police Commissioners terminating Plaintiff's employment as a firefighter for violation of the residency requirement, as he did not have a bona fide residence in village which was his principal place of residence and abode. Plaintiff had purchased a house in another city, moved his family and most of his belongings into the new house. Plaintiff was justifiably terminated under these circumstances which indicated an abandonment of his residency in the village. Plaintiff is not entitled to attorney fees as he was not the prevailing party as to certain federal claims, as those claims were dismissed by federal courts. (FITZGERALD SMITH and ELLIS, concurring.)
