Rivtis v. Volkan Turan

Appellate court concluded that documents attached to plaintiff’s complaint for foreclosure against the property of the defendant did not constitute a sufficient memorandum to create a judgment lien and affirmed judgment on the pleadings entered in favor of the defendant. The court explained that the requirement that a judgment lien be signed by a judge was fatal to plaintiff’s argument that the documents met the statutory requirements to create a valid lien.
