Effective communication skills are a crucial part of your success as a lawyer – from dealing with clients and presenting to the court, to speaking at a CLE program. Because nearly 80% of ISBA CLE is delivered online, we want to help you sharpen your on-camera communication skills. For this coaching session, come prepared to present and record 2-3 minutes of a CLE presentation. Our onsite professional presenter and coach, Bill Moller, will share tips and techniques on how you can give your best presentation, with particular focus on the studio setting. Practice makes perfect, so don’t miss this opportunity to improve your skills. You will come away with at least two to three practical tips that will make you a better on-camera communicator. Tips and techniques covered include:

Receive a complimentary 30-minute recording session in the ISBA Studio!
After you attend the workshop, you can apply your new camera skills to film a short 5-minute video for your law firm’s website. ISBA will provide the facilities and video services beginning January 2018 – just be sure to prepare and practice your own script prior to the taping!
  • How to prepare for and feel at ease on camera;
  • Effective use of vocal variety;
  • Planning your opening and the importance of the first two minutes;
  • Why practice is crucial;
  • And more!

You may sign up for an individual one-on-one 30-minute session or gather your faculty colleagues for a group session! Having mastered the art of communicating on camera, we then invite you to record a short video in 2018 for ISBA’s Quick Takes series: MCLE credit is not available for this seminar.
