Membership Mondays

What Your Dues Dollars Bring You

Reminder: Dues payments are due by Monday, August 31. If you have already paid your dues, THANK YOU!   If you have not yet paid, you can do so online or by phone (call Ann at 800-252-8908); Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express are all accepted.  Members can also pay through our flexible automatic dues installment program, Membership Made Easy, which allows payments to be broken up into easily affordable increments. As our membership renewal campaign comes to a close, we'd like to remind you of all the exciting programs and services the ISBA provides its members.  By renewing your membership you can: Practice more affordably. The ISBA provides members with free online legal research through Fastcase, which contains a comprehensive 50-state and federal caselaw database, including IL statutes and IL-based federal district court cases. Members also receive discounts on such services as Lexis, Westlaw, Dell and OfficeMax. Gain valuable information to enrich your legal career. The ISBA has many outstanding resources such as the award-winning Illinois Bar Journal magazine, our daily E-Clips bulletin, and our newest publication - Illinois Lawyer Now - both online (with multiple postings a day) and a quarterly periodical (with the premiere issue coming out in September) - which contains breaking news on legal and legislative happenings around Illinois, practice news, photo galleries and more.  Our Web site also provides a Practice Resource Center, where we've assembled articles, ethics opinions, and other tools on topics such as career development, marketing and business development, and file retention and management. Fulfill your MCLE requirement while learning about the newest practice techniques and state-specific substantive law information at our high-quality Law Ed seminars and conferences, like CLE Fest or the 2009 Solo & Small Firm Conference, or through the convenience of your own computer via online courses and other media options. Members always receive discounted prices on all ISBA CLE! Network and build professional relationships with other members by joining any of our substantive law or practice setting sections.  We also offer ways for our members to network online through ISBA's MentorCenter, e-mail discussion groups, and our (new!) social networking sites on Facebook and LinkedIn. Access members-only malpractice insurance provided by ISBA Mutual Insurance Company, owned by and for ISBA members. Every individual member is important to us.  Thank you for joining us in the continued effort to improve the profession and expand access to justice!
