Thomas A. Krieg, 62, of Morton, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at his residence. He was born on April 22, 1954, in Blue Island, Ill., to Arthur and Gloria (Wiersema) Krieg. He married Diann Harding on August 31, 1985, in Morton. 

He is survived by his wife, father, two sisters, Marcia (Ken) Sezer, and Beverly (Tom) Hans, one brother, Paul (Penny) Krieg, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his mother in law, sister and brother in laws. He is preceded in death by his mother.

Tom graduated in 1976 from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois in 1980. 

Tom was an attorney in Morton, retiring after 35 years of service to his clients. He had a passion for music, history, and sailing. He was a member of Community United Church of Christ in Morton and active in the Praise Band. He was active in many civic organizations, such as Rotary, Peoria Civic Opera, Morton Chamber of Commerce, Morton Men of Music, and the Central IL Area Banjo Club.
