IllinoisLawyerFinder: Final Day to Ensure Accuracy of Account Information

Before 4:30PM on Thursday, May 4, please take a moment to do the following:

1.  Visit isba.org and ensure the information in your ISBA account is accurate.

  • To do so, simply login to isba.org by clicking on "ISBA Member Login" in the upper-right-hand corner of your screen (if you're already logged in, click on "My Account" in the same location).
  • Please pay particular attention to the information under the "Your Addresses" and "About You" sections because this information will become publicly available.

2. While on your ISBA account page, choose your "Online Public Directory Settings."

  • Here, you can choose to make your online public profile: (1) viewable by the public; (2) only viewable by other lawyers; or (3) not viewable by anyone.
  • You can also enter a "Display Name," which will control how your name appears on your directory profile.
  • Please note: Your online public directory settings have been defaulted to "Directory Profile Viewable by Public." If you do not wish to have a profile on the new public directory, you must change this setting to "No Directory Profile."

Thursday, May 4 is the final day to ensure the information in your ISBA member account is accurate before IllinoisLawyerFinder, our new online member directory, becomes available to the public on May 15. All members (except judges and government attorneys) will be included in the directory at no cost. Your name and business information will be viewable by the public unless you choose to keep it private (see above).
