Member Appreciation Month: Five More Free Tech Resources

We're providing you with five more free tech resources today — all part of our Timesaving Tech Tips week. If you've found any other great free (or cheap) tech resources that have helped you at work, we're eager to hear from you. Share your tips with us and others by commenting below.

Google Translate: This free service instantly translates words, phrases, and web pages between English and over 100 other languages. Use while browsing the web. Available for Chrome (by the Google Translate team), Firefox (a third-party add-on), and Opera (a third-party add-on).

f.lux: This cross-platform computer program is designed to reduce eye strain during nighttime use and reduce disruption of sleep patterns (circadian rhythm). It automatically adjusts your display's color temperature according to location and time of day. Stay tuned for more on this coming next week during D4S's Office Wellness Week!

IFTTT: Standing for 'If This Then That,' this app allows users to set up conditional statements ('applets') that are triggered by new developments that occur with over 400 services, such as Gmail, Skype, Dropbox, and Amazon Alexa. Want to automatically add new iOS contacts to your Google services? (Or in your off-work hours, track your FitBit activity in a Google spreadsheet?) Check out these 18 applets for small business owners and more. Available on iTunes and Google Play.

Pocket: Similar to Evernote but easier to use, this service allows you to save videos, articles, and whatever else you find online to one place so that you can check it all out later. 'Pocket' your content directly from the web, email, or over 1500 apps. No internet connection is needed to view your saved content. Available for major devices and platforms including iPad, iPhone, Android, Mac, Kindle Fire, Kobo, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Windows.

Fastcase App (iPad | iPhone | Android): Your ISBA membership also includes free online legal research through Fastcase. Download the free Fastcase app and sync it with your ISBA Fastcase account to access your research on the go.

Want more? Check out our current selection of ISBA TechTips videos or browse the 47 CLE programs under 'Legal Technology' on our Online CLE Library (use your Free CLE benefit, sponsored by ISBA Mutual, to view). Additional legal technology-related videos, articles, and checklists will be available soon in our upcoming benefit — PracticeHQ — launching next month!

We'll be back tomorrow with a very timely topic, given this weekend's news...we're talking cybersecurity, malware and more!
