He attended Loyola University, where he met his wife of 57 years, Sheila Carroll. They married in 1960 and George attended Loyola Law School. George and Sheila made their way to Geneva in 1967. They raised five children in their home on Peyton Street. They hosted many lively gatherings, welcoming family, friends and the friends of their children and grandchildren, into their home and hearts. George practiced law until the age of 75. During his distinguished career, two of his children and most recently, his grandson Diego, were sworn into the Illinois Bar. He was active in the community, coaching basketball, timing at swim meets and serving on the boards of St. Peters, Marmion and the Geneva Zoning Board of Appeals. He was an avid Chicago Sports fan and spent as much time as he could at his beloved retreat in Door County. His greatest joy came from good conversations, especially with his children and grandchildren. George will be remembered for his great laugh, his love of family and his irreverent sense of humor.
