Edwardsville Attorney Appointed to Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness

Mark Goldenberg, a founder and managing partner of Goldenberg Heller & Antognoli, P.C., based in Edwardsville, has been appointed a member of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness for the 5th District of Illinois.

Effective immediately, his term expires Dec. 31, 2018 and until a successor is duly appointed and qualified.  As a member of the 11-person committee, Goldenberg will help evaluate the moral character and general fitness of applicants to practice law in Illinois.

A CPA and attorney, Goldenberg was one of the founders of his law firm in 1983.  Representing individuals and small to large businesses, Goldenberg’s practice focuses on estate planning, real estate, business law, mergers and acquisitions, tax law, Internal Revenue Service disputes, and other areas of law.

In addition to his bar admissions in Illinois, Missouri, U.S. District Court Southern District of Illinois, U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Tax Court, he teaches trial advocacy as an adjunct faculty member for University of Illinois School of Law.

Goldenberg earned his legal degree from University of Illinois College of Law and his bachelors’ degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
