Attorney David F. Rolewick Appointed Chairperson of the ARDC

Rolewick & Gutzke, P.C. has announced that founding partner David F. Rolewick has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court as chair of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC).  

The ARDC regulates the legal profession in the state through registration and education of attorneys and investigating and prosecuting claims of wrongdoing.  

Rolewick’s term as chair began on Jan. 1. He has voluntarily served the ARDC since 1990 in multiple capacities, including serving as a member of the Inquiry Board, Hearing Board, and Review Board.  He served as a commissioner from 2011 to 2015 and vice-chair of the Commission from 2016 to 2018.

Rolewick represents clients in matters related to business law and commercial litigation, including business formation, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions and litigating disputes related to contracts, partner and shareholder agreements, and employment. His practice also includes estate planning, wealth transfer, trust and probate litigation, and commercial real estate concerns. He serves as an expert witness in legal malpractice cases.
