Howard C. Goode, 76, of Northbrook, IL and West Palm Beach, FL, from pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his loving partner, Sally Baker, his brother, Burton Goode, his ex-wife, Sheila Lopin Goode, and his children Andrea (Christopher) Barber, and Steven (Ann) Goode. Howard was a devoted grandfather to Jack Barber, Juliana, Ellis, and Sam Goode.

Born 12/22/41, Robert Oexeman passed away peacefully at his home on 12/11.
A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Bob was an attorney for over 43 years, first as partner in a Chicago law firm and later in private practice. He served as the Synod Attorney for the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for 20 years. Bob was a Board member and President of the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a Board member and Treasurer of the Western Springs Business Association. He served on the Boards of Community Family Service and Community Care Options, Keep DuPage Beautiful, Pets & Pals Charities, and the Rotary Clubs of both Western Springs and LaGrange. A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hinsdale since 1969, Bob was President of the congregation in the early 1980's and served as an Elder and as Chairman of the Elders for many years.

Attorney Emerson Edgar Blue, 79, passed away December 3, 2016. A longtime Chicago resident, educator, certified public accountant, and attorney. Mr. Blue taught at Malcolm X College and Kent Law School. He is survived by three brothers, Ben, John, Giles and one sister, Opal V. Gill. Services have been held.

David J. Slawkowski, 66, of Fairhope, Ala. and formerly of Arlington Heights, Ill., passed away on December 1, 2016 in Mobile, Ala.
David was born in Chicago to Loretta (Guminski) and Edward Slawkowski on September 18, 1950. He graduated from Mendel Catholic High School in Chicago in 1968, and from the University of Notre Dame in 1972. He married his wife Penny (Al-Greene) in 1972, and they resided in Cambridge, Mass. while David completed law school at Harvard University, graduating in 1975. After law school, they moved to Arlington Heights, Ill. which remained their home until 2010, when they moved to Fairhope, Ala.

John Dale Stobbs, 83, died at 9:40 a.m. in his home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 28, 1932 in Alton the son of the late John and Myrtle (Uphoff) Stobbs.
He married Mary (DeCicco) on November 28, 1959 in Washington, DC and she survives. Also surviving are seven children; Tracey Stobbs Riordan of Ballwin, Missouri, Monica Jude Stobbs of Charleston, South Carolina, Elizabeth Dunn Stobbs of Chicago, John Dale Stobbs II (Rosario) of Godfrey, Mary Jennifer Margarida of Edwardsville, Stephen Stobbs (Katie) of Godfrey and Kathryn Santellano (Don) of St. Charles, Missouri, Fifteen grandchildren, and one sister; Janice Brown of St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by one son in law; Gerard Riordan and one grandson; Stephen "Danny" Stobbs.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 21, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church (St. Anthony building on Mautino Drive). Rev.
